Happy Birthday to US!! SciAm Blogs is one year old today. Look at us, most of our little teeth in, waddling along and not potty trained. We’re ADORABLE.
Really it’s great to be here. Sci Am has treated Sci very well in the time I am have been here. I am so happy to work with such a wonderful and dedicated group of bloggers, and the worker bees behind the scenes keep things running smoothly. I’ve been enjoying the idea of using this space as a slightly (slightly) more “professional” sounding voice (by which I mean not constantly saying “PENIS!” and then giggling. I have standards).
And to celebrate, I’d like to find out about YOU. WHO…are YOU…?
Taking a page from the illustrious Ed Yong today, and I want to know who you are. I know that many people find it a hassle to comment over here, so I will put the same thread up over at Neurotic Physiology, if you would like to comment there! Because I really want to know:
1. Who are you?
2. What do you do?
3. How did you find me?
4. Why do you LOVE (or just like? or hate?) SCIENCE!?!
Please do comment and let me know! I know you’re out there (all two of you!). I want to know who you are…and thank you for reading. I can even thank you in verse!
Please say a word!
I’d love to ‘meet’ you!
By name or pseud or anonymously.
I’ve blogged several years
Through drama, joy and tears,
And dear readers, you’ve been with me constantly.
So I’d like to say thank you!
For if not you, then who
would read my pseudonymous words?
I think you’re all really neat
And I want us to ‘meet’!
So leave a comment, friends, neighbors, and nerds!
…hey I never said it was good verse.
