Sci is terribly excited, you guys. In less than two days I will be on my way to the IgNobel Prize ceremony in Boston!! It's one of the most exciting and entertaining scientific events every year, complete with specially composed operas, paper airplanes, and small children that yell at you if you go on too long. I am so excited to be able to go and see the scientists who have studied such gems as social yawning in tortoises, beetles who love beer bottles too much, and of course the wonderful guy who solved all the traffic problems in his town...with a tank. And that was only last year. I can't WAIT to see what's going to win this year, and I bet you can't either! Tune in RIGHT HERE to hear it all, and follow my twitter stream as I live tweet the ceremony! All the best weird science of the year!
