Two bloggy things

1. You may have noticed I've only posted a couple items- both Thrifty Thursdays- since the blog launch earlier in the month. The slowness has reason. I am currently teaching a compressed summer session class on beekeeping with two lab sections a week. The prep time is such that I'm stretched rather thin for full-ahead blogging.

The class ends August 6th, however, after which Compound Eye will resume full speed.

On the other hand, I'm getting a lot of bee photos:

2. An open comments policy is coming, we swear. The tech folks are stretched thin integrating the previous SciAm blogs with the new network. Once that's done, we're told, they'll get to work implementing a better commenting system.
