The third #NYCSciTweetUp was a huge success! Thanks to all who came out to The Peculier Pub. It was a pleasure seeing so many new faces mingling with familiar ones!
What is the tweetup, you ask? It's an informal monthly (or so) gathering for the science community in New York City. As Story Collider's Ben Lillie remarked, "It's a world where hip science people get together to drink and party."
The #NYCSciTweetUp is open to anyone with an interest in science, science communication, science education, science writing, blogging, online social networks and science journalism. Seriously. If you are a science/health/environmental writer, journalist, blogger, tweeter, teacher, student, researcher, communicator, observer, or fan you're more than welcome to join us. The event—or TweetUp if you will—began as a means of connecting the online science community offline, which is why it bears a hashtag in its name.
