Social Interaction observation of African giant pouched rats, Cricetomys ansorgei.

The entire size of the social interaction apparatus is about 2 m x 1.25 m and about 60 cm tall. It is made of metal. This divided multi-chamber allows safe interaction between individual. Pouched rats may climb up or down the gratings but they can't really get to each other more than a swipe or a little nip on the nose. These observations were made while I was in Tanzania for #DispatchesDNLee field season1.
