I’m at the annual conference of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums this week in Phoenix. Since I’m too busy livetweeting conference sessions to write a post this week, here are a few photos of famous people with animals.

McQuillan, Ern, 1926-. Alfred Hitchcock with a koala bear at the Sydney Zoo during one of his many his visits to Australia to promote one of his classical movies, 1960. Used with permission.

Salvador Dali walking his pet anteater. Unknown source. (Do you know who owns this image? Let me know!)

Beatrix Potter, age 25, with her rabbit Benjamin Bouncer. 1891. (Unknown source. Do you know who owns this photo?)

Public Service Announcement: Please remember that wild animals are not suitable pets. No matter what Salvador Dali told you.
