New Year's Resolutions of Bacterium, Kudzu, and Mosquito

If a bacterium, kudzu, and mosquito were to make New Year's Resolutions, would we be happy about them? Probably not.

While most people make New Year's resolutions for themselves, I'm too busy thinking about what organisms from around the tree of life might want to do with their 2016. In the past I've mused that a sea turtle might want to reconnect with any offspring that survived to adulthood, and other such positive aspirations, but what about organisms whose goals could conflict with ours? I decided to explore that. I hope you enjoy.
