Visual.ly Compelling Infographics

Email   PrintPrint

There’s an interesting website that just launched recently that focuses on the infographic. It’s called Visual.ly, and one of its goals is to provide a platform for designers to upload their best infographics and get noticed. It’s an interesting concept that, among other things, makes for a great procrastination tool as you sift through their thousands of graphics. I dare say they’ve already succeeded in attracting some impressive infographics to their site (some super lame ones, too – shocker). Here are two I find particularly well-done:

This infographic by David McCandless charts the popularity and efficacy of nutritional supplements. Check out the interactive (and more current) version on his website, Information is Beautiful, as well.

This infographic shows all attempts to reach Mars and their varying successes. It is by Bryan Christie Design, a New York-based illustration and animation studio with a very impressive portfolio. In particular, check out their human anatomy illustrations.
