Comly Wilson at CleanEdison, which runs training and certification programs for green-tech installers, has put together a list of five things homeowners should know before buying solar. Definitely worth reading, but don’t let them scare you off. Our solar panels are going strong after three years and we’ve already paid off half of our out-of-pocket expenses.

Yes their are some pros and cons always available with every product so Why we would worry in using solar appliances. I believe that after few years it will get more advanced but for that we have to use them now also.

Well written. AS someone who has lived off the grid for over 12 years I can tell you solar panels are incredibly reliable and rugged. If I could make the choice again I would probably connect to the grid but I like the independence as well.
