Friday Weird Science: Why eat tongue when you can eat testes?

Sci is at Neurotic Physiology today, talking about a trematode that will shrink your gonads and take your penis in the bargain. The tongue eating parasite can, well, eat it. Why eat tongue when you can eat penis? Of course, there’s no proof that the trematodes are EATING the penis…but the shrinkage cannot be denied. Luckily for you…it’s only after a whelk.
