This spring, two red-tailed hawks took up residence on the 12th floor ledge of the New York University president's office at Bobst Library. Their nest and the three eggs inside made headlines in The New York Times, which set up a camera feed to capture the growing chicks. The hawks, dubbed Violet and Bobby, have about 1,500 followers on Twitter.
Granted, at times, this stream is about as thrilling as watching paint dry. But some moments can be quite fascinating even if you're not a bird-watcher, so maybe the trick is to leave this window open small in an unobtrusive corner of your screen.
