Jason Goldman from the Thoughtful Animal captured a tender moment as a young flamingo attempted to feed at the San Diego Zoo in July 2013. The young bird is white because the characteristic pink hue of flamingos is not genetic, but is rather caused by the accumulation of pigments from their diet.
