Scientific American Mind Is Now on Facebook

|

And We’re live! This week, Scientific American Mind launched its Facebook page. Join us here to stay up to date on our latest articles on the mind and brain. Read, share, comment we are keen for your feedback.

Fashionably late, you say? Allow me to take a step back to explain. When I was in journalism school, my science-writing professor a former Scientific American editor described the process of writing as similar to brushing hair. You begin with a jumble of words and ideas. Tackling one knot at a time, a writer imposes order on those unruly sentences. The tangles loosen and fall away, and a story emerges.

I think similarly about our plans for Scientific American Mind. We have been active on Twitter for years as @sciammind and we read your comments on this site regularly. We had not, however, taken the bold plunge into the class-II rapids of Facebook… until now.

Our goal with this new page is to provide our fans an easy, fun way to interact with us and other readers. Now is a good time to join our network (“like” our page) in the near future we’ll have some special offers available only on our Facebook page. See you there soon!
